REGIONAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR

2009 Science & Engineering Fair Results

Georgia College & State University's Regional Science & Engineering Fair (RSEF) is proud to be affiliated with the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair and the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) . The Regional Fair showcases the results of scientific inquiry by elementary, middle and high school students in central Georgia. Participants learn how to identify problems and design unique, organized and logical strategies to solving the questions. The research process teaches students how scientists and engineers contribute to the advancement of science and engineering.

Participating Counties: Baldwin, Bibb, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Putnam, Monroe, Washington, Wilkinson, and Twiggs

THE COMPETITION

The regional fair is hosted annually on the first Friday and Saturday of February at Georgia College & State University. The fair provides an additional opportunity for students to exhibit their research projects. Districts submit their best projects to the competition and participants are judged by area scientists and engineers at Centennial Center. Projects are open to public viewing at designated times (see Schedule of Events). The awards ceremony for elementary grades (K-5) is held on the same day as judging while the ceremony for middle and high school participants is held the following day.
